Hydrazone compounds is a class of Schiff base compounds, they are prepared by means of condensation from aldehyde or ketone and hydrazide. They have been used to coordinate transition metal ions to form a lot of complexes, and show some unique properties. There are more research on copper and nickel complexes with hydrazone ligands. And they have potentially application prospects in function materials, magnetic materials, analysis of catalysis, medicine and pesticide and many other areas. In recent years, more and more people have paid more attention to these compounds.In this paper, there are six kinds of hydrazone ligands:Dibenzoylmethane benzoyl hydrazone (H2LI),5-bromo-2-hydroxyphenyl methyl ketone4-methoxy benzoyl hydrazone (H2L2),5-bromo-2-hydroxyphenyl benzophenone4-methoxy benzoyl hydrazone (H2L3), acetone benzoyl hydrazone (H2L4),5-bromo-2-hydroxyphenyl methyl ketone4-meth benzoyl hydrazone (H2L5),5-bromo-2-hydroxyphenyl methyl ketone benzoyl hydrazone (H2L6). They were synthesized through the condensation of different ketone with hydrazine. Hydrothermal synthesised of six kinds of hydrazone transition metal complexes with transition metal (Cu, Ni), the second pyridine ligand and the ligands which we have been synthesized, and were subsequently developed into single crystal. The compounds were characterized by means of elemental analysis, IR, TGA and the crystal structure was determined by X-ray single crystal diffraction. The compounds which have not been reported are [CuL2Py],[(CuL3Py)2],[NiL3Py],[Ni(L4Py)2],[NiL5Py],[(NiL6Py)2]. The tests for crystal structure shown that:H2LI belongs to the triclinic system with space group P-1;[CuL2Py] belongs to the monoclinic system with space group C2/c, it shows parallelogram configuration;[(CuL3Py)2] belongs to the orthorhombic system with space group P2(1)/c, it shows two similar pyramid configuration;[Ni(L4Py)2] belongs to the monoclinic system with space group C2/c, it shows a distorted octahedron configuration;[NiL5Py] belongs to the monoclinic system with space group C2/c, it shows parallelogram configuration;[NiL3Py] and [(NiL6Py)2] belong to the triclinic system with space group P-1, it shows parallelogram configuration.The compound [(CuL3Py)2] made Variable-temperature (300-1.8K) magnetic test with a superconducting quantum interference device. It shown that there was ferromagnetic intramolecular interaction and weak antiferromagnetic intermolecular interaction between the dinuclear copper complex Cul···CulA.
