The micro-arc oxidation technology is a kind of surface modification technology, it isa new technology which grow in situ the surface of the light alloy ceramic membranetechnology. Micro-arc oxidation is used in the field of aluminum, magnesium, titanium andother metals, it is with awide range of applications. Ordinary micro-arc oxidation power don’tsupply enough power for one-time deal with a large area of the workpiece capacity, especially,it is difficult to achieve surface treatment of large area rotary workpiece. This article devise amicro-arc oxidation method--Partial immersion of anode rotation oxidation(Referred to as the rotating anode oxidation). In this way, this article designand manufacture micro-arc oxidation technology and equipment,which is used for a largearea rotary workpiece micro-arc oxidation. This article choosed the method and equipmentof the aluminum alloy during the test to verify results,which show the feasibility of themethod and equipment.This article also compared with the traditional overall immersionmicro-arc oxidation treatment and partial immersion of the anode rotation oxidation. Thisarticle detected mechanical properties of prepared ceramic membrane such as thickness,surface hardness, roughness, and used scanning electron microscopy (SEM) toobserve the ceramic membrane surfaceand cross section morphology.It Analysied the twomethods in the different process parameters, membrane properties, micro structureand cross-section morphology. This article also studied the partial immersion of the anoderotation oxidation in a certain rotation speed range of micro-arc oxidation process and thepreparation of ceramic membrane performance, analysied ceramic membrane thickness,surface hardness, as well as ceramic membrane micro-and cross-section morphology.The results show that:1.Manufacturing technology and equipment for partial immersion in theoxidationof theanode rotaion, through choosing aluminum rotaryworkpiece. Under the conditions of thelow-power micro-arc oxidation power, this article achieve one-time continuousprocessing of large area rotary workpiece.2. Compared to traditional total immersion, partial immersion in the oxidation of theanoderotation can reduce the process current and deal with the advantages of a large area ofthe workpiece. Through choosing aluminum alloy cylinder, at the same equivalent time,partial immersion anoderotation oxidation ceramic membrane such as the growth rate, surfacehardness, roughness,surface porosity, membrane uniformity,etcaresuperiorto the overall imme rsion micro-arc oxidation.3.In partial immersion of anode rotation oxidation, the rotation speed affect the preparationof ceramic membrane. Through the test, at the maximum rotation linear velocity ofthe experimental conditions, the ceramic membrane is advantageous at the stabilityof the technology and performance of the ceramic membrane growth rate,surface hardness, roughness, surface porosity and so on.
