Natural cellulose materials have the huge potential which ability to solve thefood shortage, the energy crisis, the environmental pollution and so on the problemsof current world. Today, coal, oil and natural gas reserves is shrinking, Developmentand utilization of crop production as the new energy is on the strategic position ofnational energy development. Due to the rich resource, low price, and its outstandingadvantages are biodegradable and renewable, natural plant fibers are important inenergy, resource and environment. They will become the inevitable trend in thedevelopment of textile industry for developing and applying of non-polluting newtextile materials, and using environmentally friendly production process. As a newtype of natural cellulose fiber, rice straw fiber can replace not only in place chemicalfibers, but also meet the sustainable development strategy. In this topic, biological enzymes (xylanase, pectinase) are introduced into theextraction of rice straw fiber, combined with chemical degumming process, in orderto obtain the better performance of the straw fibers. According to the chemicalcomposition and constitution of rice straw, this article adopt three extraction processof using single chemical degumming, single enzyme degumming andenzyme/chemical combined degumming, after refer to studies of natural plant fibersdegumming. Testing the residue rate, length, fineness, tensile strength, weight-lossrate, deflection, and optimize the treatment process after analyzing the results. The article analysis the experimental results by using single factor analysis, orthogonality experiment and general rotator design. Finally, attain the betterdegumming process and extract the physical and chemical properties of rice straw. After compared and summary, obtain the optimal extraction method which isxylanase/chemical co-degumming process. The optimal process is as follows: samplepreparationâ†'picklingâ†'washingâ†'biological enzyme treatmentâ†'rinsingâ†'washingâ†'alkali cookingâ†'washingâ†'shaking looseâ†'dewateringâ†'oilingâ†'drying. This essay analysis the influence on the fiber length, fineness, tensile strengthand deflection of xylanase concentration, treatment temperature and time, accord tothe regression significance tests and the relationship between the factors. At last, find the optimal process: xylanase concentration is10.93%, reaction temperature is51.7℃,time is10.3h. In this optimized process conditions, the optimize performanceindicators of the rice straw fibers are: length is7.182cm, fineness is3.456tex,breaking strength is3.859cN/dtex, deflection is1.466twist/tex m.In this paper, the mechanical performances of the rice straw fiber extracted fromcombined degumming process are test, the results are compared with other plantfibers. Using infrared spectroscopy and XRD analysis, the microstructure andcomposition of rice straw fibers are tested and analysis. It can be seen that thechemical structure of rice straw fibers is similar with other cellulose fibers frominfrared spectroscopy. After analysis of the diffraction pattern and the area ofsub-peaks, the obtained crystallinity of rice straw fiber is62.14.
