In recent years,as the people’s requirement for environment improved,"greenbarrier"emerged from some countries. In view of these challenges for improving theclothing’s safety, function and comfort,the study of this subject is to compound theAcid Red1and ZnO,in order to overcome the dye’s toxicity and give it some newfunction such as antibacterial.It is a new generation of substitute for Acid Red.Thestudy is using the method of reverse microemulsion to prepare Acid Red1/zinc oxidecore-shell structure nano-composites,and discussing the application of anti-bacterialproperty and dyeing. The work is supported by the National Natural ScienceFoundation, acid red/ZnO core-shell structure nanocomposites and related content hasapplied for patents.(No.50873081)The experiment use the result which the best conditions of phasing diagram arem(SDS): m(n-pentanol):m(xylene)=2:3:5,studied by the reseach group.Then makethe microemulsion of SDS/n-pentanol-xylene-dye and microemulsion ofSDS/n-pentanol-xylene-Zn(NO3)2mixed. The core-shell structure nano dyes-AcidRed1/ZnO core-shell structure functional dyes were synthesized afterSDS/n-pentanol-xylene-NaOH solution was added into the former system. Themorphologies,size of the core-shell structure composite particles were characterizedby XRD,TEM,respectively.We investigated the effects of salting time,the concentrations of zinc nitrate andsodiumhydroxide solutions on the preparation of Acid-Red1/ZnO core-shell structurenano functional dye.Then determined the best craft. Antibacterial and dyeingexperiments show that:(1) In the condition of the anti-bacterium solution in certainconcentration, effect time120min, nanometer core-shell functional dyes’kill effect tocolon bacillus is more than98%.(2) At the same direct dyeing processing, the nanocore-shell dye firmly degree is superior to the traditional acid red-1dye.Besides basic dyes color characteristics, the Acid Red1/zinc oxide nanometercore-shell structure functional dyes still have antibacterial properties and dyeingperformance. This will provide theoretical and experimental basis for usingnanotechnology to innovate and reform dyeing industry.
