Deicing chemicals were mainly used for melting snow in important places suchas roads, airports, and bridges, which guaranteed the transportation effectively andwere widely used at home and abroad. However, the applied deicing chemicals couldbring serious pollution to the urban ecosystems. When applied, salts could be spreadto the aquatic environment through transport mechanisms such as runoff. They wouldbreak the aquatic environment balance and have potential adverse effects to theaquatic environment and aquatic organisms.Deicing chemicals applied in this thesis were chlorine deicers which mainlyconsist of sodium chloride. Grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idellus) and Zebra fish(Danio rerio) were studied in this thesis. It studied the effect of deicing chemicalswith different concentration on physiological and biochemical indictor of Grass carpand Zebra fish, mainly including acute toxic effect, antioxidant system and studied oneffect of combined pollution of deicing chemicals and lead irons on erythrocytemicronuclei of Grass carp and Zebra fish. The aim of this study was to clarify theadverse effects of deicing chemicals to the aquatic environment and aquaticorganisms. Also, it provided scientific basis for aqua-ecosystem protection ofnortheastern China.Study results show that:Deicing chemicals to Grass carp:①.96h LC50value of deicing chemicals for Grass carp was14.19g/L; safeconcentration value was4.03g/L.②. With the stress increased, the SOD, CAT and POD activity in gills andmuscle tissues of Grass carp was inhibited significantly (P<0.05) withthe concentration of10.01g/L. It showed that the concentration ofdeicing chemicals higher than10.01g/L oxidative damage seriously onGrass carp. The MDA contents in gills and muscle tissues of Grass carpenhanced gradually with the deicing salt concentration increased, it coincide with the trend of Antioxidase Activity. The CAT and PODactivity indicated the diversity of tissues and organs. It was higher ingills than that in muscle tissues of Grass carp.③. The effect of combined pollution of deicing chemicals and lead ironscould do more harm to the inherit materials in Grass carp, for the effectof combined pollution was much stronger than single respectively.Deicing chemicals to Zebra fish:①.96h LC50value of deicing chemicals for Zebra fish was13.49g/L; safeconcentration value was4.26g/L.②. With the stress increased, the SOD, CAT and POD activity in gills andmuscle tissues of Zebra fish had statistically significant difference(P<0.05) with the concentration of10.01g/L, and rose firstly and thendeclined. It showed that the concentration of deicing chemicals higherthan10.51g/L oxidative damage seriously on Zebra fish. The MDAcontents in gills and muscle tissues of Zebra fish enhanced graduallywith the deicing salt concentration increased, it coincide with the trendof Antioxidase Activity. The CAT activity indicated the diversity oftissues and organs. It was higher in gills than that in muscle tissues ofZebra fish.③. The effect of combined pollution of deicing chemicals and lead ironscould do more harm to the inherit materials in Zebra fish, for the effectof combined pollution was much stronger than single respectively.
