Tapping hole is the passageway of hot metal tapping from the blast furnace. For hot metal tapping from the tapping hole an iron notch is often used as opening machine to drill tapping hole. When all of iron melt and slag drain away, the taphole clay will be used to block up the tapping hole again and form refractory furnace lining at corroded part of tapping hole in order to protect furnace lining of furnace crucible. If furnace lining is eroded seriously, it will possibly menace the safety of blast furnace production. Therefore, the key of safe production of blast furnace is that keeping enough depth of the tapping hole and draining away completely on time.The main content of this paper is comprehensive analysis on the blast furnace taphole of various factors on export of iron to maintain work standards, the following conclusions have been analysized.(1) Steady maintain tapping hole, tapping iron should be controlled reasonably, we should control the diameter of tapping hole reasonably and the weight of taphole clay. In addition, the action of damp tapping hole should be forbidden, in order to avoid ejecting phenomena taphole clay in the tapping hole.(2) In order to maintain tapping hole steadily, we should use high quality taphole clay. Tapping hole should have favorable plasticity, fast sintering capability, favorable hole performance, and steady high-temperature performance. The blast furnace requires that taphole clay must have steady volume stability and suitable porosity. In addition, causing environmental pollution must be forbidden.(3) The correlative production management should be well-organized. We should determine the number of tapping iron and the interval time of tapping iron. The taphole stopping machine and opening machine should be maintained steadily.
