Nano-TiO2particle, with small particle size, surface area and large number of hydroxyl on the surface, which can bond with cations, show a strong adsorption capacity and chemical activity. It is a tremendously promising adsorption material. However, the direct use of nano-TiO2powder as an adsorbent results in problems for separation and recovery after the reaction, and secondary pollution may raise, TiO2particle load is an effective way to solve the problem. In this dissertation, nano-TiO2films were prepared on glass substrate by sol-gel method. The effect of various reactants on film appearance was studied. The optimum preparation conditions of TiO2films were as follows:C(TBOT)=0.7mol/L, C(H2O)=2.1mol/L, C(DEA)=1.4mol/L, the amount of PEG-1000is20g/L. And the films were characterized by SEM, AFM, XRD, and UV-VIS spectra. The results show that the transparent TiO2particles of the film were of anatase phase and about50nm in size. And the films exhibited a strong absorption to the UV-light below350nm.Nano-TiO2films were employed for the adsorption of copper ions from aqueous solution. The most suitable adsorption conditions were pH=7.0, adsorption time120min, adsorption capacity0.2234mmol/g.
