Highly substituted furans play an important role in organic chemistry, not only askey structural units in many natural products and important pharmaceuticals, but asuseful building blocks in synthetic chemistry. Tandem reactions that involve theproduction of multiple bonds in a single manipulation provide an efficient way toconstruct complex molecules from readily available materials. The design of a tandemreaction from an easily prepared ingenious intermediate with multiple reactive sites togenerate complex molecular architectures is significant and attractive.This thesis contains two parts: Firstly, we have developed a novel tandem reactionto afford highly substituted furans from2-(1-alkynyl)-2-alken-1-ones compounds undermild reaction conditions. Secondly, manganese octahedral molecular sievesheterogeneously catalyzed tandem process for synthesis of5-hydroxyimino-4,5-dihydrofurans. The structures of products were confirmed by1H NMR,13C NMR andHRMS spectra. And the possible mechanism was proposed based on these spectral data.
