The main features of N0.4seam in Pingshuo No.1mine are that shallow burial depth and the complex seam thickness structure; the immediate roof is large thickness, but jointed fracture undeveloped etc. After roof caving, the roof coal collapse lagged, the collapse resistance is poor and top coal recovery rate is low. In order to change comprehensive caving poor, the recovery rate and low issues completely, comprehensive caving working face mining is researched in a working face. The NO.4Seam Fully Mechanized put the best face caving than determined by using mathematical statistics and numerical analysis methods, the main conclusions are as follows.(1) Fully mechanized top coal caving technology optimum mining ratio is1:3.65in Pingshuo company mine4#coal seam geological conditions. Mining ratio is too small or too big top coal recovery rate which can be reduced; the best caving in coal seam thickness is larger than relative conditions, which is to improve the comprehensive caving working face of coal cutting height.(2) The cutting height is the main parameters in fully mechanized caving face coal which affect the comprehensive recovery rate. The cut coal recovery rate is high, correspondingly, the comprehensive recoveries rate is high. No.4seam coal cutting height increased from3.2m to4.5m, the recovery rate of6.63%, effective in reducing the caving losses in the mining process.(3) It shows that adaptation of the overlying strata of the coal bed Mine Pressure Regularity of coal caving sequence which is effectively on top coal formation damage is two times. Especially, it is an effective way to improve the top coal caving.(4) Around the best method of mining research and field practice, mine technical innovation research has made very clear economic and social benefits, which is annual increase of792,650tons of raw coal, equivalent to the economic benefits of237million RMB, greatly reducing the cost of production.
