There are two parts in this paper, the first part: A novel photosensitive telechelic polymerC-PDMAEMA was prepared with DAMEMA as monomer, coumarin-containing disulfides(C-S-S-C) as a chain transfer agent in the presence of Bu3P and water, and characterized with1H-NMR, GPC and FTIR spectroscopes. The polymer’s critical micelle concentration wasmeasured by fluorescence spectrophotometer that using pyrene as fluorescent probes; and thelight-sensitivity of the polymer was studied by UV-vis. It was found that the polymer canimmediately form polymer micelles in aqueous solution. And the coumarin end group of thepolymer can be reversibly photo-dimerized upon365nm and254nm irradiation. Thehydrodynamic size analysis determined by Malvern Zetasizer Nano-ZS instrument and theTEM observations showed that the average size of the polymer micelles increased upon365nm irradition and decreased uponthe subsequent254nm light.The second part of this paper is synthesis and properties of crosslinked amphiphilicpolymers. The N-Isopropylacrylamide (NIPAAm) as hydrophilic monomer, Ethylhexylacrylate (EHA) as hydrophobic monomer,1,6-Hexanediol diacrylate (HDDA) ascross-linking agent, Sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) as emulsifier, Potassium persulfate(K2S2O8) as initiator, use the free radical emulsion polymerization to prepare the cross-linkedhydrophobically associating water-soluble polymer PNEH. Structural characterization ofpolymer using Fourier ransform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) was done; The polymer’scritical micelle concentration was measured by fluorescence spectrophotometer that usingpyrene as fluorescent probes (cmc); The preparation of different concentrations of polymermicelle aqueous solution to do the enrichment of pyrene and benzo(a)pyrene; Fluorescencespectrophotometer tracking the fluorescence change of the absorption intensity of pyrene andbenzo(a)pyrene to characterize the impact of the enrichment of pyrene and benzo(a)pyrene asthe changing of polymer micelle concentration, and at the same time, specific concentrationpolymer micelles were prepared for characterizing the enrichment of pyrene andbenzo(a)pyrene that with different concentrations. All above was done to prove the polymerPNEH can enrich pyrene and benzo(a)pyrene in the solution as we designed. Studies haveshown that the polymer PNEH is do efficacious in enrichment pyrene and benzo(a)pyrene,moreover has a low limit of detection.
