Many industrial wastewater often contains phosphate and part of the COD inwastewater is higher, such as the waste water of paper making industry, phosphatefertilizer industry, pharmaceutical industry.High phosphorus wastewater which notprocessed pours directly into the water,it can cause the water eutrophication. This paperaims to deal with the problems of the high phosphorus organic wastewater treatment byUASB reactor. It made a study of anaerobic biodegradable sex and mechanism of highphosphorus organic wastewater. The main research results including the followingaspects:(1)Volume loading of COD keeps0.92kgCOD/(m~3·d),the rate of nitrogen andphosphorus is200:1,50:1,10:1,2:1,the time of start-up、the sludge reclamation、ratio of COD elimination differs less in the UASB reactor.Different rate of nitrogen andphosphorus has less effect on start-up of UASB reactor.(2)When the concentration of phosphate increased from61mg/L to2700mg/L,volume loading of COD keeps0.92kgCOD/(m~3·d) stably, the microorganisms needmore time to adopt the circumstances of high concentration of phosphate. The sludgehave better activities after domestication of high concentration of phosphate,it has goodresistance to impact load. But when the UASB reactor suffers more shock load,it willcause the death of the methanogens.(3)The removal rate of phosphate is low,the phosphate of let and outlet had noobvious changing. After a long time of domestication, volume loading of COD canreach to10kg COD/(m~3·d).the other salt ions have no affect on the rector at areasonable levels. the loss of water alkalinity has no evidently effect on the theoperation of the UASB reactor.(4)The concentration of phosphate increase to the level that the reactor can notstand suddenly, anaerobic sludge can recover for a long time, but the system is notstable....
