Fuqing’s Guangbing Cake, a traditional kind of cake, plays an important part in traditional food in southeast part of Fujian province. Its ingredients, cooking method and cultural connotation constitute one aspect of China’s intangible cultural heritage. However, with the social development and time changing, special foods from different areas pour into Fuqing city, which leaves Guangbing Cake a very competitive environment, which seems to be overwhelming for Guangbing Cake. Therefore, by using literature review and on-site investigation, the writer intends to analyze Guangbing Cake’s development and study how to maintain this traditional culture.Chapter One, the introduction, introduces the searching background, the meaning of this topic and the studying method. Meanwhile, it covers the overall review about domestic and foreign researches on Fuqing’s Guangbing Cake. Chapter Two provides the theoretic basis of this paper, which includes background information of Fuqing, and Guangbing Cake’s origin, history and value. Chapter Three contains general statement about Guangbing Cake’s current production situation and analysis of its potential problems. Chapter Four is about Guangbing Cake’s current market share, along with its package design and some future strategies. And finally, the writer concludes this research and proposes some proper advices.
