In this paper, four unreported organic-inorganic hybrid compounds based on theα-metatungstate clusters [H2W12O40]6- have been conventionally synthesized in aqueoussolution by utilizing α-metatungstate clusters [H2W12O40]6, Ln(NO3)3·6H2O(Ln=Ce, Pr, Nd,Sm) and2-pyrazinecarboxylic acid as reaction materials and adjusting reaction conditions. The four compounds have been structurally characterized by elemental analyses, IR spectra,TG analyses, and single crystal X-ray diffraction. Additionally, solid-state luminescenceproperties of the compounds1,2,4and2-pyrazinecarboxylic acid (HL) have been studied atroom temperature. Luminescence analysis shows compound4possesses good luminescenceproperty. In the compounds1-4, L ligands link two kinds of Ln3+ions in a chelating-bridgingtridentate coordination mode, resulting in two sorts of infinite one-dimensional (1D) zigzagchains. Moreover, each [H2W12O40]6- cluster acting as a pentadentate ligand connects fiveLn3+ions from three zigzag chains through its five terminal oxygen atoms, forming acomplicated3D structure with a novel (32415261)(32425363)(3143536172) topology and S-typechannels.The chemical formula of the four compounds are:(NH4)2[Ce2(L)2(H2W12O40)(H2O)7]·9H2O(1)(NH4)2[Pr2(L)2(H2W12O40)(H2O)7]·12H2O(2)(NH4)2[Nd2(L)2(H2W12O40)(H2O)7]·11H2O(3)(NH4)2[Sm2(L)2(H2W12O40)(H2O)7]·10H2O(4)... |
