An excellent tool should be used well and comfortably when working. The distribution of the hand surface pressure is one of the important factors which affects hand comfort and it is depend on the handle shape when grasped. Therefore, surface pressure has an important significance in the handle design period.For the gun-like tool handle, in order to obtain the distribution of hand surface pressure when grasping, this paper sets up a corresponding finite element grasping hand model. It can conducive hand comfort research when grasping tools.(1) Firstly, for the different handle, I study their geometric shapes and gripping style. Then for gun-like tool, I analyze the considered factors when finite element hand model grasp handle model:according to normal human standard, I build a right hand model, limit grip degrees of freedom, handle finger joints so that handle model can be grasped and obtain the relationship that fingers rotation change over time. Finally,I control the finger grasping process to finish that hand grasp handle in finite element software.(2) According to analyzing hand anatomical structures, I legitimately simplify and process the model and build working models of hand bones and soft tissues based on grip posture of gun-like tool handles.(3) Based on the Principles of Photogrammetry, I set up corresponding theory which can calculate fingers rotation and experiment to get the relation of fingers rotation over time when grasping. These can make finite element fingers motion and natural fingers motion keep consistent.1also use virtual sensors to control grasping process.(4) Meshed this model, give the material parameters, set the appropriate boundary conditions and loads, set the relationship between the hand and the handle and build the finite element grasping hand model. Then I accomplish that finite element hand model grasp handle model and obtain the current distribution of the hand surface pressure.
