The Study Of Quality Control About Premium Connection Working In The Well

Tubular string consists of more than several hundreds of tube. The weakest position is the joint of tube. Now, the general joint includes API Connection and Premium Connection. According to application in the oil field, it is one of the most effective ways that API Connection is substituted by Premium Connection. Thereby, all researchers in the home and abroad pay attention to the research and development about Premium Connection. This paper has carried through an in-deep study on integrity of Premium Connection based on research at home and abroad. The rules of Premium Connection working in the well are given and the demarcated&inspected instrument of Hydraulic tong was made.The integrity of Premium Connection includes two main problems:one is about tensile strength of connection, that is, sustainability of Connection; the other is about sealing property of connection, that is, how to develop the reliability of the seal. This paper uses3D model of VAM TOP connection to simulate the process of makeup and analyze the stress distribution at the connection. The process of makeup is simulated by Abaqus. The performance of connection working in the well was simulated by ANSYS. The2D finite element model of Premium Connection is founded to analyze the stress distribution on the thread, seal and shoulder by using the contact analytical model. It is more clear understanding about connection. Because it is rarely known about the dynamic performance of Premium Connection, using sea to analyze dynamic performance of Premium Connection is given by this paper. The model of SEA supplies a new idea of analyzing dynamic performance of connection.For the makeup torque must be strictly controlled, the rule of quality and the demarcated&inspected instrument of Hydraulic tong was made according to the result of finite element.
