With the rapid development of the petroleum chemical industry, a kind of controlschemes and algorithms of the distillation operation has been using more and morewidely. However, in the actual production process, the controlled object of thedistillation operation exist large delay and large inertia characteristics. ConventionalPID control, feed-forward or cascade algorithm is difficult to obtain good results,which is directly related to product quality, yield and consumption indicators.Therefore, to improve the traditional distillation control algorithm based on the DCSsystem, and to use the advanced control technology to deal with such issues in thedistillation DCS system are almost the only way out.This paper first introduce the characteristics of the predictive control algorithmand the DMC algorithm, verify the superiority of the DMC algorithm, put forwardDMC-PID cascade control, and verify its validity. Then through the processcharacteristics of the distillation process in-depth analysis, and combining with theproblems that exist in the actual production of the project, it improve the conventionalDMC control methods in theory necessarily; then apply it to the design of thedistillation column bottom temperature control system. Which achieve a better controlfor the bottom temperature, and solve large time delay and large inertia that thetraditional control methods are powerless to solve.Finally, the subject uses the MATLAB software to simulate the matrix controlalgorithm; With the CS5000type process control experiment, build a completeverification platform of DMC control algorithm based on DCS; Then use SUPCONsystem SCX language to develop DMC algorithm for industrial process control, andconfigure the selected DCS system; At the same time, it completes a number of designtasks of the variety of control schemes, such as the control configuration、flow charts、trend curve、data reports, alarm configuration. And it also illustrates the advanced control method implemented in the DCS; through on-site simulation experiments, itindicates that the whole control system has good stability, robustness andanti-jamming.
