The modern CNC machine tool main development direction is high speed and highprecision. In addition to machine tools’ lightweight and low cost also requires machine hasgood machine and performance. And that five axis linkage CNC machine processingperformance can meet the requirements of the users. Processing performance and dynamiccharacteristics of the machine tool has close correlation. The machine tools dynamiccharacteristics of the performance and machine tool processing is proportional to theperformance. The performance of the dynamic characteristics of the machine tool isproportional to its processing performance. And the double pendulum angle milling head isthe core functional unit of five axis high-grade CNC machine tool and has a direct effect tothe whole machine tool processing performance. So its accuracy and dynamiccharacteristics have great influence to the whole machine tool processing performance. Inthis paper taking A/C shaft double pendulum angle CNC universal milling head whichresearch and development and design together by Shenyang Machine Tool group andShenyang University of Technology as the research object. To studied its dynamiccharacteristics under the high speed.In the brief introduction of the A/C shaft double pendulum angle milling headstructure. To establish the mathematical model of geometric errors of the A/C shaft doublependulum angle milling head based on the application of multi-body dynamics. Andintroduces the geometric error of A/C shaft double pendulum angle milling head will effectmachining precision influence, so we can have the double pendulum angle milling head forerror compensation. And put forward by using of Renishaw laser interferometer to detectthe A axis and C axis positioning error and repetitive positioning error of the A/C shaftdouble pendulum angle milling head.Application of Pro/E establish three-dimension object model of the A/C shaft doublependulum angle milling head. Imported the three-dimension object model into the ANSYSon the basis of the simplified model. To establish the finite element model of the double pendulum angle milling head. Modal analysis of the A/C shaft double pendulum anglemilling head by application of ANSYS finite element analysis. So we can determine thenatural frequency and vibration mode of A/C shaft double pendulum angle milling head, atthe same time, putting forward an experimental modal analysis for A/C shaft doublependulum angle milling head by using hammer experiment method.Application of DH5903vibration inspection instrument equipment test thedirect-drive A/C shaft double pendulum angle CNC universal milling head in threedifferent motion which is A shaft swing, C shaft rotation and spindle rotation, the dynamiccharacteristics of A shaft, C shaft and main components.
