With the development of the pharmaceutical industry in China,wastewater treatment of pharmaceutical companies has attracted moreand more attention. Pharmaceutical wastewater was known that itscomponent was complex, it contained a lot of organic matters and it’shard to degradate by microbial. So it’s difficult to achieve the desiredresults by a single treatment technology. Therefore, we need to develop aset of effective new treatment process in order to meet increasinglystringent emission standards.In order to meet the need of market, Tonghua Maoxiang Companytried to strenghthen the types and scale of their production actively, whilethe wastewater treatment station can’t achieve sewage dischargestandards, so it’s greatly important to optimize how to treat thewastewater.The thesis took the case of the Tonghua Maoxiang Company. Byanalsising the quality and quantity of wastewater, the thesis considered topretreate the workshop wastewater and then mixed with other enterprises wastewater before entering biological wastewater treatment system.Comparing UASB with HABR pretreatment program, the effect inHABR was significantly better than in UASB. The scale of the sewagepretreatment treatment station system was10m3/d,COD=8000mg/L,BOD5=2000mg/L, and SS=500mg/L. The removal rate of HABRpreprocessing method COD was75%, BOD5was80%, SS was50%.Sewage treatment station biochemical treatment system scale was300m3/d, COD=2000mg/L, BOD5=1000mg/L, SS=400mg/L.The effluent indicators of H/SBR were: COD=45.6mg/L, theremoval rate was95%, BOD5=18.9mg/L, removal rate was97%,SS=19mg/L, the removal rate was85%. Various pollutants in thewastewater treatment of the treatment program can bereached thestandard of Discharge standards of water pollutants for pharmaceuticalindustry Chemical synthesis products category (GB21904-2008).
