Zeolite TS-1is a kind of widely used solid catalyst. It shows excellent catalytic performance in selective oxidation of various organic compounds under mild condition with H2O2as the oxidant. But the small pore size of TS-1has obvious diffusion limitation to bulky molecules. Hence, it is inactive in the reactions involve bulky molecules. On the other hand, Ti-containing mesoporous silicas have overcome the weakness of diffusion limitation. However, these mesoporous materials are not crystal and the relative lower oxidation ability and stability hinder their wide use. So it is quite important to synthesize hierarchical TS-1with meso/macropores.In this paper, hierarchical TS-1has been successfully synthesized by adding nanocrystalline cellulose or bagasse to a conventional zeolite synthesis system with TPABr as micropores template. The effects of feed sequence, the amount of meso/macropores template, the pretreatment of bagasse on hierarchical TS-1were studied. The obtained samples were characterized by XRD, UV-Vis, N2adsorption-desorption, SEM and adsorption of BT and Th. The results show that the addition of meso/macropores template does not affect the MFI topological structure of TS-1. Besides the micropores, hierarchical TS-1also has mesopores or macropores. The adsorbance of BT on hierarchical TS-1reaches to127μmol/g, while TS-1only shows15μmol/g adsorbance. The catalytic activity of hierarchical TS-1was also studied. Hierarchical TS-1shows higher activity in BT oxidation (nearly90%removal rate), while TS-1shows no activity in the reaction.
