In recent years, the catalysis by primary and secondary amines assmall organocatalysts, has showed an explosive growth via enamine-imine intermediates, and established itself as a powerful methodology forasymmetric synthesis. To a large degree, Enamine catalysis hasdeveloped into a powerful subject: Asymmetric enamine chemistry. Thearea is extremely active today, and publications are coming up at anamazing pace. Although many new catalysts have shown their applicationin enamine chemistry, such catalyst with pyrrolidinyl and phenolhydroxyl group is still rarely reported. Therefore, our research plan todevelop a new chiral organocatalysts for the current enamine system.There are four main content included in the thesis:1. Design and synthesisi of a novel chiral organocatalyst (Py-Binol).2. Chemical resolution of the diastereoisomers, Through exploring theoptimization of the conditions, the optical purity of the singleenantiomer can be obtained.3. Explore the chiral catalytic effect of the catalyst in the asymmetricreaction.4. Investigations of (R,R)-Py-Binol as CSA in NMR chiralrecognition,which shows excellent ability to discriminate theenantiomers of a wide range of carboxylic acids.
