The gas explosion is an important factor threatening the safe in production of mine, and it isa very complex process of chain reaction. In order to study the kinetic characteristics of gasexplosion in enclosed space of mine, the detailed mechanisms of chain reaction (including53species,325reactions) is applied for the gas explosion process. The SENKIN subprograms aremodified for the CHEMKIN Ⅲ chemical kinetics package, and the model of constant volumebomb is built. Through the numerical calculation and the numerical simulation, the kineticcharacteristics of gas explosion are simulated in enclosed space and the sensitivity analysis of thekey reactions are done.First the changes in pressure and temperature, the variational currents of the mole fractionsof reactants, the concentration change of the free radical in the gas explosion process, and themole fractions of catastrophic gases after explosion were analyzed by the model of constantvolume bomb, and the sensitivity analysis of the key reactions are done. The results are got bythe research, which the gas explosion is a transient phenomenon of high-temperature andhigh-pressure. Then effects of the kinetic characteristics of gas explosion under different initialpressure are analyzed. The research result shows that not only the time of gas explosion delaywith the reduction of the initial pressure, but also the explosion intensity of gas weak with thereduction of the initial pressure. Finally, by analysis of effects of the kinetic characteristics of gasexplosion under the inert gas (N2) and the promotive gas (H2), the result shows that nitrogen willinhibit gas explosion and Hydrogen will promote gas explosion from mechanism of gasexplosion.
