Rock burst is a dynamic phenomenon that due to mining activity caused byroadway or working face coal and rock around the sudden failure, it can release a largeof energy caused by the volcanic shake and explosive destruction.It is one of the majordisasters which have a negative effect on the safety production of coal mine. Rock burstis a complex physical process and the research on it has been nearly a hundred yearsaround the world, but there hasn’t been well solved yet, it remains a difficult problem inthe field of rock mechanics. China is one of countries that have the most serious rockburst in the world and there are more than130burst of mine in China. With thedevelopment of coal mining and the reduction of recoverable reserves year by year,China will have a considerable number of mine in deep mining, the rock burstoccurrence frequency and intensity will also continue to increase in10years. Thereforethe prediction and control technology of in-depth study on rock burst has appeared to bevery pressing.This paper studies on the process of drilling cuttings temperature (including bittemperature, borehole temperature and cinder temperature), torque of drillpipes,development of drilling cuttings temperature and torque of drill pipes testingdevice. It studies on the process of drilling cuttings temperature through thecombination of theoretical analysis and experimental analysis and provides experimentaland theoretical basis for the coal mine power disaster forecasting.The results show that the drilling cuttings temperature and torque of drill pipes canreflect the intensity of the coal and the coal stress. For unit hole long drill, both drillingcuttings temperature and torque of drill pipes increases with coal strength increases aswell as the coal stress increases. But drilling cuttings temperature reduces with theadvancing speed while torque of drill pipes increases with it.This paper has got a systematic research on the drilling cuttings temperature, andhas made a preliminary research on torque of drill pipes.Temperature and torquemethod is very potential as the prediction method of coal body dynamical disasters.Ithas important theoretical and practical value for the prediction of rock burst.
