Gasification of coal with potassium salt catalysts was investigated using TG-DSC and fixed-bed reactor. Experimental results indicate that the content of hydron can be enhanced by increasing steam partical pressure when the total pressure is constant. The critical temperature of interaction between potassium carbonate particles and coal particles, and migration of potassium was between600and700℃in the pyrolysis.Potassium carbonate loaded by mechanical mixing or impregnation method has significant catalytic effect. The saturation loading of potassium carbonate was10%for gasification of Shen Fu coal. The relation between catalytic effectiveness and amounts of potassium intermediates was correspondence, when gasification temperature is700~800℃The water-insoluble compound will be formed by the reaction between potassium carbonate and mineral in gasification of coal. The loss of potassium can be enhanced by increasing Al contant in the ash. Reaction of potassium and minerals can be suppression by Ca.Integrated and modified random pore model will be preferably used to fitting experimental datas of catalytic gasification-steam. The activation energy of Shen Fu, Huai Nan, Sheng Li, Zun Yi coal were111.20、167.86、133.00and90.32kJ/mol by modified random pore model fitting.
