With the upgrading of industrialization and the growing production scale, dust explosion accidents occur frequently and the frequency and severity are on the rise. Dust explosion has been a serious threat to human lives and propertyReference to national standards and relevant literature, the explosion parameters of toner was studied with the1.2L Hartmann tube, the minimum ignition temperature of dust cloud measuring device,the minimum ignition temperature of dust layer measuring device and20L ball. It is found that the minimum ignition energy of toner dust cloud is5mJ-30mJ; the minimum ignition temperature of toner dust cloud is505℃~555℃; the minimum ignition temperature of toner dust layer is200℃~250℃; the maximum explosion pressure and explosion index of toner dust cloud is0.74MPa and27.28MPa·m/s respectively, the explosion pressure and explosion index reaches the maximum when the concentration is500g/m3, and the minimum explosive concentration is40g/m3~50g/m3.The experimental results indicated that the toner is sensitive to fire and has high degree of explosion hazard. Safety measures are proposed from the prevention of dust explosion, loss reduction and the problems which should be noticed when fire fighting. Provide a scientific basis for the further research of the safety equipment and the establishment of safety measures.
