Duplex stainless steel has the high strength and the resistance as the ferritestainless steel and it has the excellent toughness and the welding property as theaustenitic stainless steel. So it has been widely used in the ocean, the chemicaland other industries. The paper discusses the effects of content in the ferrite and the austenite thatis in the metallographic structure of duplex stainless steel though the discusses ofthe solid solution temperature and the time. The best heat treatment process ofthe experiment is the soild solution temperature of1050℃,and the heatpreservation tome of2hours, and the water cooling. At this time, the rate of theferrite and the austenite in the double phase stainless steel is nearly one to one,so the duplex stainless steel has the best mechanical properties and the corrosionresistance propertiesThe experiment worked out a group of chemical composition of the duplexstainless steel and used the orthogonal design method of the three factors andthree levels, then discussed the impact of the Chromium, Nickel and Magnet-Optical elements on duplex stainless steel structure, the mechanical propertiesand corrosion resistance properties. This research shows that: With the solutionof duplex stainless steel at1050℃and insulation2hours, water-cooledconditions, Chromium has the max affect to the content of austenite, theplasticity and the impact properties; Nickel has the greatest impact to the tensilestrength; Magnet-Optical has the greatest impact to the yield strength and theelectrochemical corrosion. The duplex stainless steel has the highest tensile strength when theChromium has the content of25%and the Nickel has the content of5%and the The duplex stainless steel has the highest tensile strength when the Chromiumhas the content of25%and the Nickel has the content of5%and the Magnet-Optical has the content of2%; it has the highest yield strength and the plasticproperty when the Chromium has the content of24%and the Nickel has thecontent of4%and the Magnet-Optical has the content of3%; it has the highestimpact performance when the Chromium has the content of24%and the Nickelhas the content of4%and the Magnet-Optical has the content of2%; it has thehighest electrochemical corrosion performance when the Chromium has thecontent of24%and the Nickel has the content of2%and the Magnet-Optical hasthe content of2%.
