Because the curved thin-walled parts for the aircraft are light weight, shape of thecomplex and changeable features, therefore, when assembling the parts, we need to design theflexible gripper tooling structure which can grip the parts according their shape and surface.But such tooling system is mostly bulky, and their transmission organ are complicated.Through researching the thin-walled workpiece positioning principle, we can design thetransmission program of the flexible gripper tooling system and design the structure of thesystem.Based on this,carry on the statics analysis and the topology optimization design for themain parts of the system,finally confirm the result of the topology optimization.First of all, my paper expounds the research situation and the development trend of theflexible gripper tooling system at home and abroad at present,and describe the researchcontent on the paper.Secondly, conducts theoretical analysis and research for the system, given the curvedthin-walled parts location theory and the solving method for coordinates solution method of apoint. Determined to ues locating pins on the system and locating holes on the thin-walledparts to locate the parts, then use vacuum suckers adsorption to gripper the parts. Then carrieson the transmission plan, structural design and load calculation of the flexible gripper toolingsystem,check the strength and select the standard parts.Thirdly,use the finite element analysis software hyperworks on the important parts tostatic analysis and topology optimization, according to the result of the topology optimizationcarries on the optimized design for the parts,and then confirm the topology optimization result.Through carries on the structure optimization design of tooling systems, reduce the quality ofparts, the lightweight of the structures will come ture.Finally, summarize the research contents of the text, acquire some constructiveconclusions and point out the further research directions.
