Carbamazepine(CBZ) and Oxacarbazepine(OXC) were typical PPCPs (Pharmaceutical and personal care products) which frequently detected in environment with high concentration. China produce and consume large number of PPCPs. Investigate the fate of drugs in environment is important to enhance the control the pollution of drugs.The paper screened microbial consortium from waste water of CBZ industry, which can degrade CBZ10.8%for5mg-L-1in10days with not efficiency.It is the first report that our research investigated the decipline of Na7S2O8oxidized CBZ, OXC, mixed with CBZ and OXC. The degradation of CBZ and OXC were increased with temperature, concentration of Na2S2O8and pH in some extent. The results shows that20μM CBZ can be oxidized almost completely within75min;20μM OXC can be oxidized almost completely within10min; for the solution of CBZ mixed with OXC, CBZ and OXC can be oxidized almost completely within75min. HO-was the major active free radical in the system. The major intermediates of CBZ and OXC were Acridone, Acridine and9-oxo-9,10-dihydroacridine-4-carbaldehyde,9,10-dihydroacridine-9-carbaldehyde, respectively.Combined with production process, the concentration of CBZ in real waste water of CBZ industry was tested about100mg·L-1. This is the first report that heat-activated Na2S2O8oxidize CBZ real waste water. It show high efficiency that can remove96%CBZ in90min. Industry waste water are important pollution source of PPCPs, it is suggested that add heat-activated rocess in Wastewater Treatment.
