The precise measurement of the parameters in the combustion and flame is critical to optimize the combust process and enhance the energy usage efficiency and reduce the pollutant emission. Tunable diode laser absorption spectral is a newly developed gas parameters detection technology based on spectral absorption. TDLAS has a broad application prospects because of its high precise, fast response, simple measurement system, real time detection and fitting to sever environment. The CO concentration was detected using the R (30) transition in the HITRAN based on the TDL tech. The test includes three sections:firstly it was conducted on a heated cell; secondly the CO concentration in the pre-mixed methane and air flame was measured in various condition and different locations; thirdly the CO concentration in an oil burning furnace flame was recorded on the measurement system. At the same time, the CO message in the flame was fed back into the air controlling system. When the CO concentration achieves the detection limitation, the air rate was recorded and set as the optimized value. In the test the optimized value accords to the oil burner rated air.The traditional single beam TDLAS tech can only acquire the average message on the beam length. Sometimes, the distributions of gas concentration contain more information and are more crucial in the detection fields. A gas concentration reconstruction system was set up in the lab. In the system a diode laser beam was split into24beams by a beam splitter and cross the detecting area from different directions.24corresponding absorption signals were recorded and input into the reconstruction procedure to calculate the gas distribution. A verified simulation and test were conducted using the CH4R (3) transition. Another verified test was conducted on the CH4and air per-mixed flame by scanning the H2O transition pair near1.4um in different conditions and different flame shape.
