The traditional roll forming machines produce products which horizontal and vertical direction does not change when the sheet is passing the rolls. With the increasing environment pressure, users tended to choose energy-saving and material-saving technologies, so the section profiles’size respectively changes along the longitudinal and horizon direction, which is a variable cross section profile.In our country, a more primitive processing method is used on some special cold-formed profiles cutting. The traditional cold cutting methods summarized in this paper, on the basis of traditional equipments, combined with a specific variable cross cold-bending section process characteristics, this paper presents a particular variable cross cold-bending section cutting solution. By means of variable cross section cutting methods cold-formed profile research, put forward a kind of adaptation on the two section transverse length change profile cutting scheme, this scheme is better than the traditional cutting methods with the processing accuracy. It makes foundation for the subsequent research of complex variable cross section profile.The results and conclusions are as follows:1. Three cutting ways are proposed which are used to cut variable section cold-formed steel, they are compared in this thesis, and a suitable new way is choose;2. All3D modeling parts are designed, the cutting device control and hydraulic system are researched and designed, which can meet to the production requirements;3. The important components are simulation analyzed, the stress, strain and displacement are analyzed in this thesis; cutting device for kinematics simulation of ADAMS are analyzed, that shows that the cutting device designed is feasible, which is able to meet the demand.
