Aluminum doped zinc oxide has been widely used in the fields of solar cells, gas sensors and ultrasonic sensors due to its electrical properties. This thesis mainly studies the preparation and photocatalytic property of ZAO nanoparticle, ZAO composite film and HAP/ZAO composite. In Chapter1of the article, the doping and composite of zinc oxide, the catalytic mechanism of semiconductor have been reviewed. In Chapter2of the article, the preparation and catalytic property of aluminum doped zinc oxide nanoparticle and ZAO composite film have been introduced. This experiment adopted ultrasonic-template method to prepare aluminum doped zinc oxide Nanoparticles with good dispersion, although the precursor have been calcinated by high temperature, there is no obvious phenomenon of reunion. Photocatalytic property of ZAO NPs was studied and its catalytic mechanism was discussed in this paper. The use of fine powder as catalyst in aqueous solution has a drawback-it is hard to separate and recycle. Therefore, a kind of simple composite film was explored in the paper, we use the collodion as the carrier to load the ZAO nanoparticles. The composite film has a semipermeable structure and has good photocatalytic property.One-component semiconductor photocatalysts have low photocatalytic efficiency because of the recombination of photo-generated electrons and holes. Through compositing of two semiconductors can significantly improve the photocatalytic efficiency. In this paper, we adopted the water bath heating method to synthesize the HAP/ZAO composite, explored photocatalytic property of HAP/ZAO composite with different ZAO loading. The photocatalyst was recycled and its photocatalytic efficiency has been investigated. We also tried to modify the HAP/ZAO composite by calcinated, but the experimental results showed that the composite catalytic efficiency didn’t improve. Templates have a significant impact on the morphology of HAP and photocatalytic efficiency of the composite catalyst. We prepared HAP using different templates and investigated their photocatalytic property after composited with ZAO NPs.
