Currently, chemists have synthesized numerous supramolecular complexesthrough the approach of self-assembly and received many coordination polymers ofnovel structure. In this thesis, asymmetric ligands containing8-hydroxyquinoline unitand a series of novel semi-rigid ligands based on1,3,4-Oxadiazole-2-thione weresynthesized. The coordination chemistry of these novel ligands with transition metalions was investigated. Totally27new coordination polymers were prepared bysolution and hydrothermal reactions and fully characterized by IR, elemental analysisand single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The solid state luminescent andthermogravimetric properties of thses polymeric polymers were investigated.Ⅰ. We synthesized a series of novel semi-rigid organic ligands based on1,3,4-Oxadiazole-2-thione. These organic ligands were fully characterized by IR,1HNMR, elemental analysis.Ⅱ. The coordination chemistry of the1,3,4-Oxadiazole-2-thione bridging asymmetricligands with transition metal ions have been investigated. We synthesizedtwenty-four new coordination polymers, Their single crystal structures wereobtained. In addition, we not only studied the adsorption and desorptionproperties of the coordination polymers5for CH2Cl2,but also investigated theseparation properties for benzene,1-cyclohexene and1-cyclohexanone,1-cyclohexanol. All the process were characterized by1H NMR and PXRD.Ⅲ. We synthesized four asymmetric ligands containing8-hydroxyquinoline. Thecoordination chemistry of these ligands with transition metal ion has beeninvestigated through solution reaction. Three new coordination polymers weresynthesized, namely [Zn(L1)2(H2O)2]·MeOH·H2O25, [Cd(L1)2(H2O)2]·MeOH·H2O26, Hg(L2)2I227. Their single crystal structureswere investigated and characterized. Compounds25and26are isomorphic.Ⅳ. We have studied the anion exchange process of compound {Ag(L6)(SO3CF3)},obtained through the reaction of1,3,4-Oxadiazole bridging semi-rigid organicligand with Ag (I). These processes were monitered by IR and PXRD. Thetunable luminescent were also investigated.The results reported herein demonstrate that we can get new structures of porousMOFs by use of semi-rigid1,3,4-Oxadiazole-2-thione bridging ligands. And thislays the experimental basis of adsorption and separation for small molecules andanions.
