Hydrocarbon selective oxidation is an rational and effective method to enhance the value of the chemical raw materials, and more than half of the global production of chemical products and related to the selective oxidation process. As to the benzene, it’s C-H activation and oxidation is one of the most difficult problem in synthetic chemistry. Although the oxidation of olefins relatively easy, However, it’s existing oxidation process has high energy consumption and environmental pollution problems. In this paper, The effect of different metal additives, carriers and the reaction conditions to the selective oxidation of benzene and styrene are studied using30%hydrogen peroxide as the oxidant and vanadium phosphate oxide as the catalyst. The research are summarized as follows:(1) Preparation and characterization of VPO catalysts. Metal additives and carriers were mixed with the the vanadium source during the restore process. The Fe. Co、Ni、Mn、W、Cu、Zn and other metal modified VPO and MCM-41、ZSM-5、 γ-Al2O3、TiO2supported VPO were prepared and characterized using XRD SEM FT-IR methods.(2) The benzene oxidation. Identify the good catalytic performance of Mn-VPO catalyst in the benzene oxidation by modified VPO catalyst. The reaction conditions such as time, solvent, temperature, the amount of H2O2and dripping ways of H2O2were discussed in the benzene oxidation catalyzed by Mn-VPO catalyst. The supported VPO catalyst and containing vanadium zeolite catalysts were tested in the benzene oxidation. Under the optimal conditions (acetonitrile as solvent, the amount of Mn-VPO catalyst is5%, n(styrene):n(hydrogen peroxide)=1:2,6h,50℃), the conversion of benzene is80.6%, and the selectivity of phenol is74%.(3) The styrene oxidation. Identify the good catalytic performance of Ni-VPO catalyst in the styrene oxidation by modified VPO catalyst. The reaction conditions such as time, solvent, temperature, the amount of H2O2and dripping ways of H2O2were discussed in the benzene oxidation catalyzed by Ni-VPO catalyst. The supported VPO catalyst were tested in the styrene oxidation. Under the optimal conditions (acetonitrile as solvent, the amount of15wt%Ni-VPO/TiO2catalyst is5%, n(styrene): n(hydrogen peroxide)=1:2,6h,50℃), the conversion of styrene is91.2%, and the selectivity of benzaldehyde is76%.
