Slaughter waste water is a very typical industrial organic wastewater with high CODcr, BODS, ammonia nitrogen, SS and other indexes. As the implementation of the south-to-north water transfer project and the gradual improvement of the emission standards in China, many slaughtering enterprises’wastewater treatment technology cannot meet the need, it is urgent of new or upgrading existing sewage treatment technique, so it is much necessary to study the slaughter wastewater treatment method.The test in a slaughterhouse used self-designed processed denitrifying biological aeration filter (BAF) to deep research on SBR effluent. Exploring the BAF start-up method, operation factors, and the better operating conditions were optimized by the orthogonal test.Experiment showed that the compound inoculation way hang membrane lasted20d for starting successfully the lead denitrifying BAF with short start-up time.After the success of the start, the removal rates of COD and NH3-N and of TN of reactor effluent were basically stable at about79%,59%,54%respectly.The affect of hydraulic load, reflux ratio, gas water ratio to the pre denitrification BAF had the same operation rule that COD, ammonia nitrogen and total nitrogen along with the increase of the factors reduced after the first rise in law; As filter material height increasing, the concentration of COD and ammonia nitrogen reduced,retainer and filter material layer anoxic zone on the COD removal efficiency were more obvious, removal rate reached67.6%, NH3-N removal mainly concentrated in the filter material layers of aerobic area, accounting for79%of the total removal rate; The better process parameters optimized by the orthogonal experiment were gas water ratio3:1, hydraulic load of1.91m/h, reflux ratio by150%;and the influence of three factors significant sequence was:the hydraulic load> reflux ratio> gas water ratio; Lead denitrifying BAF COD had strong resistance to impact load capacity; Under the better conditions of water,COD, ammonia nitrogen, total nitrogen, SS, turbidity were stability in14.4-16.6mg/L,1.2-2.5mg/L,2.5-11.9mg/L,3.3-4.6mg/L,4.6-2.2NTU, the water quality reached "the town sewage treatment plant pollutant discharge standard"(GB18918-2002) A level of discharge standards; In the use of the Crafts with the grit chamber, solid-liquid separator, pond, at the beginning, adjusting pool, air flotation, SBR, BAF to treat slaughterhouse wastewater, the water reuse shouldbe considered in the factory.
