Carbohydrates are ubiquitous in nature. Owing to their structural flexibility and configarational diversity, they mediate numerous biological and pathological events that relate to human beings. Carbohydrate-protein interactions are the fundamentals of many cellular processes, such as signal transduction, cell adhesion, viral/bacterial infection, fertilization, proliferation, differentiation and immune response, which are of great significance in life science. In this paper, numerous glyco-derivatives have been proposed as antitumor or antivirus agents. We designed and synthesized a serial of novel6-triazole-linked glycolipids via CuAAC click chemistry. Their antitumor activities were assessed though MTT assay. The copper-free click chemistry is a newly developed chemical ligation method, which has many applications in fields of drug discovery and construction of focused structure. We designed and synthesized a series of lipid derivatives containing a cyclooctene functional group in order to construct cyclooctene and glycone modificated liposome by Cu-free click cycloaddition reaction, achieving the aim of targeted drug delievery via suger-protein specific recognitions on the cell surface.
