Rare Earth Giant Magnetostrictive Materials(GMM)is a new kind of smart materialdeveloped in recent years, which has several inherent excellent properties, such as largemagnetostrictive strain, fast response, high energy density and so on. but there are also afew the application of an extremely negative inherent characteristic, mainly includinghysteresis nonlinearity serious, poor repeatability and so on, In the design and use ofmicro feed system must be fully considered.According to rare earth the GMM performance and the engineering applicationrequirements, with domestic rare earth GMM as the foundation, the rare earth GMMtool rest as the research object, the closed loop control system can achieve higherprecision, and researches on several closed-loop control scheme, and its advantages anddisadvantages are analyzed, and finally puts forward a comprehensive and reliablesimple and practical closed-loop scheme.The closed loop system demarcates therelationship between the micro feed and giant magnetostrictive tool rest of current,Thenwill the calibration relationship as standard, the following compensation in accordancewith the size of the standard for compensation.With the development STC12C5A32S2single-chip microcomputer as the core ofthe feedback circuit board, with Protel design the principle diagram, using C languageof the calibration procedures and feedback compensation program.And to the microfeed system characteristics are a series of experimental research. The experimentalresults show that the micro feeding system is completely feasible, and the effect isbetter.
