With the development of science and technology,the special-shaped hole’sprocessing and application receive more attention,and the special-shaped pin hole of thepiston of a engine is particularly prominent.Piston pin hole will be changed fromordinary cylindrical holes into special-shaped holes,which improves not only the servicelife of the piston,but also the engine performance.But the processing equipments isdifferent from the traditional ones because of its particular structure of thespecial-shaped holes.In order to process the special-shaped pin hole of the piston,thispaper puts forward a new type of radial micro feed structure,and carry out theexperiments and analysis on the boring machine.The radial micro feed mechanismmakes full use of the rare earth giant magnetostrictive materials and the elastic elementto generate the tool feed movement to process the special-shaped pin holes.Firstly,summarizes the principle and method for processing special-shapedhole,conpares the advantages and disadvantages of the domestic and foreignspecial-shaped hole processing equipment,summarizes the current intelligent materialgiant magnetostrictive material’s and piezoelectric element’s characteristics.There putsforward a new type of rare earth giant magnetostrictive micro displacement feedmechanism.Through targeted experiments and tests,obtains the curves of relationbetween the rare earth giant magnetostrictive bar and the changing current,then find thelinear working range.In addition,calculate the driving coil’s parameters,and control coilheating by using the combined method of active and passive control.Secondly,mainly designs the structure of the radial micro feedmechanism,including an elastic mechanism,static and dynamic pressure main shaft,thedrive coil.One of the most critical techniques is the analysis and optimization of thespring plate,because the characteristics of the spring plate affect the overall radialdisplacement’s amplification of the mechanism,its response speed,and service life.Andcompletes the mechanism of dynamic balance test.Once again,makes optimizing design for the overall system’s control andcompensation,makes the improvement and enhancement of the processing control based on the piston excircle’s processing control in the Shenyang BeiTe NC limitedcompany.For compensating the cutting tool tip displacement, makes a control systemwhich combines the eddy current displacement sensor with feedback board,realizes thereal time displacement compensation,and ultimately eliminates the error caused by thetemperature and other factors.And by changing the input program,not only the bellmouth pin hole,but also the elliptic pin hole can be processed.Finally,the processing tests,taken in Wenzhou Datong piston pumps limitedcompany,show that this structure can fully meet the processing requirements,and ensureprocessing consistency in less than3μm.
