The main research contents of this thesis are focused on the design, synthesis, characterization, and application of the functional covalent organic frameworks (COFs) and the total synthesis of the natural products Orisuaveolines A and B. Accordingly, the contents of this thesis can be divided into the following two parts:Part Ⅰ:Design, synthesis and application of COFsOwing to their regular structure, uniform porosity, and high thermal and chemical stability, the COFs have recently received significant attention on potential applications in gas adsorption, photoelectricity and heterogeneous catalysis. However, to date, the reports on the application of functional COFs materials are still very rare. In the first part of this thesis, we have accomplished the design, synthesis and characterization of the Salen-functionalized crystalline COFs material (Salen-COF1) and the amorphous organic materials (Salen-L2). Then, Salen-COF1material was further applied in the heterogeneous catalysis, and Salen-L2was applied in the selected adsorption of metal ions.Part II:The total synthesis of natural products Orisuaveolines A and B.Orisuaveolines A and Orisuaveolines B were isolated from the leaves and the stems of the Cameroon tropical rainforest plants Oricia suaveolens(Eng1) Verd(Rutaceae) in2008by Jean DupLex Wansi et al. The biological activity researches revealed that both Orisuaveolines A and Orisuaveolines B possess suppression effects on the A549lung cancer cellula. Therefore, the research towards the synthesis of Orisuaveolines A and B not only has academic value, but also has important application prospect. We have achieved the total synthesis of Orisuaveolines A and Orisuaveolines B by using Pictet-Spengler reaction as the key step, from cheap and commercial available raw materials paratoluidine and heliotropin. We have also determined the correct structure of Orisuaveolines A and Orisuaveolines B by two-dimensional NMR experiment.
