In recent years, municipal sewage treatment plants were always faced with the way of sludge not free in wastewater treatment process, complicated process in Sludge disposal system, large investment, high energy consumption, disposal with the migration of heavy metals and other common problems. As one kind of ecological treatment technology, Activated sludge reduction technology which uses tiny metazoan-aquatic worms to reduce sludge has attracted much attention of the scholars with low energy consumption, certain economic and environmental benefits, and without secondary pollution, now it is becoming a research focus on wastewater treatment and sludge reduction. Accompanyed research on growth rule of aquatic worms in the activated sludge is also becoming a focus for many scholars.On this article, under above-mentioned background, the paper introduces the activated sludge reduction technology which uses aquatic worms to reduce sludge and the research status of growth kinetics of aquatic worms in activated sludge. Considering the tiny metazoan-water earthworms as the research object, this article researchs on the growth rule in the activated sludge by using the tiny metazoan-aquatic worms as the research object. A investigation of the effection of growth rate of aquatic worms in different temperatures, sludge concentrations, and dissolved oxygen concentrations started by the way of experiment, quantification-ally expression the relationship between the growth rule of aquatic worms in the activeted sludge and the incubation time (in different conditions of water temperatures, sludge concentrations and dissolved oxygen) has obtained by drawing the growth curve based on the statistics of the growth rule of aquatic worms in different water temperatures, sludge concentrations and the dissolved oxygen conditions and also by using OriginPro8.0data analysis software to analyze and process data and function fitting.When the water temperature is at20±1℃, dissolved oxygen is at4mg/L cultivating for18weeks in diffierent sludge concentration conditions (2000mg/L,4000mg/L,6000mg/L), The experimental results show that the growth of aquatic worms well fit Logistic function from0to15th/16th week.The maximum specific growth rate respectively is0.0716d-1,0.086d-1,0.0979d-1; When the water temperature is at25±1℃, dissolved oxygen is at4mg/L, cultivating for18weeks in diffierent sludge concentration conditions (2000mg/L,4000mg/L,6000mg/L), Results show that the growth of aquatic worms well fit Gauss function from0to18th week, The growth of aquatic worms well fit Logistic function from0to12th week,The maximum specific growth rate respectively is0.0977d-1,0.1181d-1,0.1229d-1; When the water temperature is at25±1℃, sludge concentration is at4000mg/L, cultivating for18weeks in diffierent dissolved oxygen conditions (2,5mg/L,4mg/L,6mg/L), Results show that the growth of aquatic worms well fit Gauss function from0to18th week, The growth of aquatic worms well fit Logistic function between0to14th/12th week,The maximum specific growth rate respectively is0.0964d-1,0.1181d-1,0.1283d-1.
