Cement is the basic raw materials of our country. For a long time, the temperature of decomposition furnace and kiln are controlled with the help of the manual operator who giving preheated and head coal relying on experience. Due to the hysteretic nature and operating error of manual operation, the cement production has the questions of low efficiency, high energy consumption, and unstable quality and so on. Therefore, it has very vital significance that developing intelligent control system for cement rotary kiln to improve the automation level of cement production.Aiming at the temperature characteristics of decomposing furnace and rotary kiln, kiln of kiln tail coal feeding mode for one cement plant of5000t/d NSP cement clinker production line in Nanjing, This paper carry out the development of multivariable intelligent control software for cement rotary kiln. The main work of the paper is as follows:The cement rotary kiln system model is built by multidimensional time series and neural network algorithm respectively. Two kinds of modeling methods are compared also.The fuzzy controller is designed, the temperature of decomposition furnace and kiln are controlled by fuzzy control method respectively. The kiln of kiln tail coal feeding are adjusted precisely and quickly through the method of "merge modeling-separate control" and "look-up table method" to achieve stable yield.The intelligent control software is finished using VC++. The simulation test are carried on for two system modeling methods and fuzzy intelligent control method, the results show the effectiveness. With the use of DCS system of cement plant, the system model and intelligent control method can greatly reduce the labor and improve production efficiency.
