In this study, P(BS-co-CL), with three different molecular weight, wereprepared and the effect of P(BS-co-CL) on protein content, cellulase activity,CAT, POD and SOD of earthworm were studied using acute and chronic toxicitytest method in natural and artificial soil.1. The effect of copolymer on earthworm in natural soil(1) In the group treated by polymer (Mn is8.0×10~3), the protein content andSOD activity increase with the polymer concentration increasing in the acutetoxicity test. But cellulose activity was inhibited obviously. Only during the firstweek did the POD activity was observed increasing. The polymer has nosignificant effect on the CAT activity.(2) In the group treated by polymer (Mn is1.6×10~4), the protein contentincreased conspicuously with the polymer concentration increasing in the acutetoxicity test. While cellulose was inhibited starting from day28. SOD activitywas improved by the increasement of copolymer content in the soil. However, the copolymer has no effect on CAT and PDO activity.(3) Except for the increase of protein content in the first week, thecopolymer (Mn is2.8×10~4) content had no effect on the other physiologicalindex.2. The effect of copolymer on earthworm in artificial soil(1) In the group treated by polymer (Mn is8.0×10~3), cellulose and CATactivities were inhibited obviously on the7thday. However, POD and SODactivities were induced during the first two weeks. No effect on protein contentwas observed.(2) The copolymer (Mn is1.6×10~4) slightly promoted the POD activity onthe7thday.(3) On the7thday, only CAT activity was inhibited by the copolymer(Mn is2.8×10~4). |
