As a result of increased water pollution, the traditional drinking water purification process has faced a severe challenge. With the improvement of drinking water health standards, as well as a number of cities direct drinking water objectives proposed, people began to increase concern about pathogenic microorganisms’biological stability control in drinking water. In this paper, base on the "water treatment technology of the twenty-first century" of membrane separation technology, based on the secondary flow of coagulation technology and membrane separation technology, build a novel membrane coagulation reactor. The aim is to remove the microbe and the organic matter-a key element which will influence the biological safety of drinking water. The main research results include:1. Based on the secondary flow theory, the hydraulic characteristic and the mixing performance of the secondary-flow mixing (SFM) was systemically studied. The experimental results indicate that the significance of the factors for G and GT values was flow rate>curvature>pitch, that the significance of the factors for the performance of SFM was pipe length>flow rate>curvature>pitch, that the optimal GT value for charge neutralization coagulation was slightly higher than that for sweep coagulation, and there existed two optimal GT values for sweep coagulation.2. For KunYu river, according to the beaker experiment I systematically studied PAC, PFS and ferric chloride inorganic coagulants, which are used to remove micro-organisms, total organic carbon and turbidity in water. And according the performance of PAC, a new type of membrane coagulation reactor has been studied in the removal of micro-organisms, total organic carbon and turbidity. At the same time, also study the removal effect about membrane coagulation reactor without coagulant. The results:(1) The PAC of 10% concentration has better coagulation effect relative to concentration of chloride in 5% and 0.5%. Relative PFS and ferric chloride, the PAC has a better overall performance in removing micro-organisms, total organic carbon and turbidity. After coagulation, the total number of bacteria in water and the residual turbidity was positively related to each other.(2) The new type of membrane coagulation reactor effluent of micro-organisms, organic matter and turbidity of drinking water in China are up to health standards. Raw water is not added coagulant, the new type of membrane coagulation reactor has lower flux rate increased significantly, and shorter cycle filter that can significantly slow membrane fouling. In addition, coagulation can significantly enhance the membrane coagulation reactor efficiency of organic matter in place.
