Hydrogen peroxide is an excellent oxidative bleaching agent with non-pollutingand non-corrosive,and also it can make the pruducts obtain a stability whiteness. So itis widely used in the bleach of cellulose fibers and also other fibers.Yet,theconventional bleach must be completed under the high temperature near the boilingpoint for a long time to achieve the desired bleaching effect. It usually accompanieshigh energy consumption and serious strength loss. Therefore,we all now pay moreattention to improving the efficiency of hydrogen peroxide bleach, and try to reducethe bleaching temperature. So far,the bleach activators are mostly confined to household detergents, whichcan effectively reduce the washing temperature. But it haven’t been popular for textilebleaching.Based on the cost and performance, nonanoylbenzene sulfonate is worthy tobe spread to textile industry. It is great significant for new bleaching technologies tostudy its applications. In this thesis, nonanoylbenzene sulfonate sodium was synthesized using4-phenolsuflonate sodium and nonanoyl chloride in the presence of xylene anddiethyleneglycol-dimethylether as mixed solvent and tetrabutyl ammonium as phasetransfer catalyst. The chemical structures were characterized by FT-IR and 1H NMR.In the suitable synthesis conditions, the product yield is 88.32% and the effectivecontent as high as 90.39%.In order to promote practical application of activator NOBS in the field oftextile, the application technology of NOBS in scouring and bleaching of cottonknitted fabrics at low temperature was studied. The optimal conditions are as follows:DM-1361 0.4g/L,DM-1370 1.5g/L,H2O2(35%) 6.0g/L,NaOH 2.0g/L,NOBS 1.0g/L,temperture 80℃, processing time 60min,bath ratio 1:10, NOBS put into the bath15min later after the process beginning. In this condition, the whiteness was up to70.28, the absorption was about 13.5cm/30min and also fabrics had little damage thanthe conventional process. The results showed that, cotton knits could get good bleaching effects at low temperature 80℃by adding activator NOBS in alkali-oxygenbleaching bath. The application of H2O2/NOBS activation system in cold pad-batch pretreatmentwas discussed.Via single factor analysis and orthogonal experiments, various factorsexisting influence on the pretreatment effect are optimized. The new applicationtechnology with high-efficiency of cotton woven fabrics are defined as: DM-140812g/L,DM-1238 10g/L,H2O2(35%) 50g/L,NaOH 25g/L,NOBS 5g/L,dwell time 7h. Inthe same,The optimum conditions of cotton knitted fabrics are as follows:H2O2(35%)40g/L,NaOH 20g/L,NOBS 4g/L,dwell time 5h. From the bleaching results, theH2O2/NOBS activation system has a higher bleaching efficiency, compared with thetraditional cold pad-batch pretreatment. It can remarkably decrease alkali consumptionand shorten the dwell time.Due to the higher prices of the bleach activator,in order to serve industrializationactivator NOBS was used in conjunction with low-priced materials such as urea, ureaperoxide, sodium percarbonate and melamine. Results revealed that, the collaborativeuse maybe lead the whiteness slightly lower, but it can reduce the strength loss offabrics further more.Considering the cost and cooperativity, urea and melamine arequite appropriate.
