| In 1970s, the world’s energy crisis led to the rising of energy prices and the energy costs accounted for the production processing costs from 10% up to 15%~20% or even higher. At the same time, environmental regulations around the world were increasing strictly. At this situation, many experts and scholars from home and abroad started to do research on foam dyeing and finishing, which was in a low liquid rate, less pollution and high energy-saving dyeing and finishing technology. Foam dyeing and finishing is to pass the gas into the working fluid solution which has surfactants in it. After the mixture being cut and mixed by the bubble generator, they generate many small and uniformed bubbles, or form large bubbles. Then, the bubbles are to be imposed onto fabrics so that the liquid percentage drops from the traditional 60%~80% to 15%~30%,which can save drying energy for more than 50%. In 1980s, there appeared a wave of high tide on the research of foam dyeing and finishing in China. Some research achievements had been applied by many printing and dyeing enterprises. However, at that time, due to the low level of automation equipment, technical development and other restrictions, the technology could not be continued to further promotion in the development and application.In recent years, the intensification of energy crisis and environmental problems has greatly enhanced people’s awareness of environmental protection. Simultaneously, all of the printing and dyeing enterprises have the doubled pressure on production costs, energy consumption and effluent discharge. More importantly, promoted by the national "11th Five-Year Plan", proposed energy-saving, lower consumption, and emission reduction policies, foam finishing regains people’s attention and favor.Foam finishing is the most mature technology in the development of Foam dyeing and finishing. Compared with foam finishing, foam single-color dyeing has strictly demanding in the uniformity of its chemical agents imposing and the foam burst. If the process is slightly uneven, it will cause significant dyeing flower. The shortage of foam single-color dyeing has just become the advantage of foam colorful dyeing, which is that the RGB foam fluid, cut and mixed by the bubble generator, will generate many small and uniform bubbles, which , being applied to the same fabric, will form colorful, irregular, no-repeated pattern style. As a new type of dyeing method, colorful foam dyeing will arouse people’s interest.The composition of colorful foam dyeing solution and properties of foams is the key part of the colorful foam dyeing technology. In this paper, the composition of colorful foam dyeing solution and properties of foams were studied systematically. Using Ross-Miles foaming method and stirring foaming trial to be foam test method. Primary factors influencing foaming performance and stability of the system were analyzed, including concentration of foaming agents, ambient temperature, inorganic salt, water hardness, PH value, urea, sodium met nitrobenzene sulfonate and so on. one foaming agents suitable for foam colorful dyeing was selected, that is agents C (anionic surfactants); sodium alginate was selected as foam stabilizer and discussed the stability mechanism on the agents C foaming Solution.The components and systematic compatibility and foam stability of foam colorful dying solution in primary RGB light, medium and dark were researched and the composition of foam stock solution was determined as well.; That dyed foam does not affect the processing quality and has the same color fastness as the pad dyed has provided the basis for the production application by comparing the laboratory manual foam to foam pad with the conventional single-color staining By the production applications trial in laboratory, it was confirmed that foam colorful dying could obtain a colorful no-repeat pattern, reflect the superiority of the foam colorful dying as well as provide a basis for the following development. |
