Intelligent Transportation System can control transportation system viacollecting and processing real time transportation information,using theresults to balance the utility of road network in order to solve the congestionproblem which is a more and more serious task facing the urban life.ProbeVehicle System is an advanced transportation information collectingtechnology that catching more and more scholars’ attention.Nevertheless, thestudy is mainly focusing on its travel time precision,sample size needed andmap matching precision.There are few study focusing on how to estimatetravel time and queue length,which are two important indexes that measuretransportation performance, using probe vehicle data.Li Qiang etc. has studied statistical characteristics of travel time,andconcluded that it is a double peak distribution.And then he developed a traveltime estimation model using small sample from PV system.Finally,queuelength estimation model has also been developed,and its reliability has beenvalidated using a simple VISSIM simulation model.Based on the latestresearch,this paper will use a more realistic VISSIM simulation model toevaluate the former consequence.Besides, estimation algorithm used in formermodel has been improved,and sensitivity of each parameter in the estimationmodel has been analyzed.Based on the sensitivity analysis,this paper provide auseful though for improving the precision of small sample estimation.Furthermore,Li Qiang etc. developed a main.sub level model for linkperformance measurement.However,the index for distinguishing theperformance is somehow fuzzy,and it is not a quantified standard.This paperdeveloped quantified index for performance measurement,and this resultanswered the puzzle for both transportation scholars and normal people. |
