The research on the performance of occupant seat and restraint system under crash environmentis one of the major contents of aircraft crash simulation and crashworthiness design. The load broughtduring the impact was undertaken by cabin floor, which destroyed the main structures of aircraft seatsindirectly and threatened the safety of occupants. This is a question for consideration that how to meetthe requirements of strength, stiffness of aircraft structures and the bearing capacity of occupants onthe premise of no increasing weight. Consequently, the research on the seat-occupant restraint systemswas carried out on the basis of CCAR, as well as the detail optimization of partial structures.Firstly, an engineering program about the load distribution of seats was programmed based theformer researches. Then the method of finite rigid-flexible coupled analysis about different types ofdummies and multi-dummies was verified. After that several serious cases filtered by static analyseswere applied in the two dynamic simulations specified by FAA and CCAR, and the performance ofthe security concerning seat-occupant restraint systems was evaluated well.Secondly, the seat-occupant restraint systems was positioned in the detail aircraft section model, and the deformation of aircraft section, posture of dummies were obtained after dynamic simulation at9.14m/s, these results revealed the reasonable performances of crashworthiness. Then the influenceson different vertical velocities and whether the real dummies concerned or not were conducted at last. Finally, based on the summarization of previous simulation results, the section-shape of cabincolumn was analyzed according to the objective of energy-absorbing, after that the optimal shape wasused to make the further size optimization. The final results on optimal design showed that theresponses on occupants decreased obviously.
