With the continuous progress of electronic technology, high-power electronic devices isbecoming increasingly popular, but the development and progress of the thermal design is slow,equipment failure caused by heat issues are common in recent years. In many manuals of the thermaldesign of electronic products, the thermal design of the conclusion can not be a blueprint for theactual design,but only as a reference.So it is difficult to provide useful design basis for the thermaldesign engineers in theory.The paper reviews the status of research and development of natural convection firstly. Then adetailed research on three-dimensional natural convection of a specific enclosures model is maked.The temperature field and flow fied under different conditions and trends in natural convection heattransfer inside the enclosures is analyzed,to guide the thermal design.Based on the theory, when theradiation is considered in enclosures model, it is analyzed in numerical simulation.Due to radiationresulting from the presence of the enclosures, the temepraure field and flow field changes,andcalculate the radiation cooling inthe total heat ratio. Finally, the natural ventilation is considered in theopen cabinet. And in this model a numerical simulation is researched to find the cooling heat of eachmodel.
