Ice accretion on aircraft surfaces will not only affect the performance of the aircraft, but alsothreaten the safety of people’s life and property. Icing wind tunnel, as the basic ground equipment tocarry out the aircraft anti/de-icing test study, is an important manifestation of the icing test researchability of a state. As a result, the construction of a certain scale icing wind tunnel is of greatsignificance on aircraft flight safety.The corner is an important component of the wind tunnel, its design not only affects the workefficiency of the whole wind, but also directly affects the quality of wind tunnel flow field; the cornerdeflector can reduce the loss of corner section, and improve the uniformity of outlet flow field.Therefore, the rational design of corner flow deflector is key to the design of the corner section. Inthis paper, based on the NUAA ice wind tunnel (IWT) project, the third corner test model, fourthcorner and deflectors of the wind tunnel are calculated. The entrance velocities of the third corner testmodel were1.1m/s,10m/s and16m/s, by analysis and comparison of the calculation results, weverified the design rationality of corner flow deflector, and provided guidance for the next corner test.At the fourth corner, we respectively selected16pieces of circular arc flow deflector,16pieces ofcircular arc double straight line flow deflector and12pieces of arc double straight line flow deflector,and the entrance velocities were0.5m/s,6m/s and10m/s, by the analysis and comparison ofcalculation results, it provided data support to the design of the fourth corner deflector. Finally, thispaper summarizes the research work of the design of icing wind tunnel corner flow deflectors, andprospects the following research. |
