| Interstage parameter measurement is the basis to discover the real fluid texture of the internalairflow in the air-compressor. Since the airfoil-probe is installed directly by the blade, withoutusing the mounting rack of common probe, it has been widely used for fewer disturbances to theflow field of air compressor with the same specification of the probe. However the experiments onair compressors of different types prove that even if a small size airfoil-probe is mounted in thefront edge of a few of blades, the test performance of the air compressor is somewhat differentfrom that without probes.The following experiment was conducted in this paper in order to discover how theairfoil-probe blockage effects the air compressor performance,. This paper bases on the test on onetwo-stage low speed axial compressor in College of Energy&Power Engineering of NUAA.First，under multi rotating speed of compressor, the author chooses to mount probes with varioussized probe heads and of variable numbers on the selected stator blade to change the blockageratio caused by the probe windward area. After that, taking this two-stage low speed axialcompressor as the model, this paper models varied blockage ratios and probe types by using CFD。At last, after comparing the results of numerical calculation with the experiment result withoutprobes, The final result is:(1) The airfoil-probe does not affect the average flow field of thecompressor, that is, it will not generate obvious influence on average flow parameter distributionbehind the rotors and stators in compressor.；(2) Try to use small size probe as long as the purposeof measurement can be satisfied.(3) The airfoil-probe merely influence other blade tunnels duringthe mixing process of flow fields of inlet and outlet of each blade tunnel.(4) If several blades ofthe multi-stage compressor are mounted with airfoil sensor, only the biggest blockage ratio of thecertain blade will have the effect on the compressor. |
