Control allocation is a kind of effective solution of redundant control. Using control allocation, itis possible to split control design into two steps: a control law and a control allocation algorithm. Inthe case of control effectors failures or control surface damages, an effective redistribution of thecontrol command is needed to achieve acceptable performance, and the complicated flight control lawnamed as baseline control law keeps unchanged. So the control allocation technology can be usedefficiently in control system of aircraft with multiple effectors. In this paper, the control reconfiguration problem based on control allocation for the multipleeffectors aircraft is studied. The contributions of our work are as follows:1. A new improvement Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm is presented to solve the problemthat the linearly decreasing weight of the Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm cannot adapt to thecomplex and nonlinear optimization process. The evolution speed factor and aggregation degreefactor of the swarm are introduced in the new PSO algorithm. The weight of PSO is changeddynamically based on the current evolutionary speed factor and the aggregation degree factor, whichprovides the algorithm with effective dynamic adaptability. The simulation results of test function andthe PID controller parameter setting indicate that the improved PSO algorithm is effective. Controlallocation law is designed using the improved PSO algorithm system, and the simulation examples areperformed to show the effectiveness of the proposed approaches.2. According to the adaptive control theory and control allocation theory, the adaptive controlallocation algorithm is designed. In the situation of actuator failure, the control allocation matrix isadjusted on line using the state tracking error to achieve an effective re-distribution of the controlsurface deflections. A simulation example of multiple effectors aircraft model shows satisfactoryresults.
