A crawler pile driver, which is tri-point type, is studied in this paper. Force of wire rope andvelocity of column and lifting rod are analyzed by Multi-body system dynamics simulation in theprocess of column rising. The loads of components and stability of complete machine are analyzed indifferent working conditions, and the relationships between the safety coefficient of completemachine and counter weight in different conditions are obtained.The finite element model of pile frame is built by advanced modeling technology. Consideringthe practical loads and boundary conditions of pile driver, four working conditions are defined. Thedistribution of stress and displacements is obtained by finite element strength analysis, and thepositions of maximum stress in these conditions are predicted.The destabilizing patterns and buckling loads of column sections are defined by linear bucklinganalysis according to practical loads and structure characteristic.Finite element simulation is applied to modal analysis of slewing platform, the inherentfrequencies and mode shapes of this structure are investigated. On the foundation of Finite elementmodal analysis for slewing platform, the plate thickness of slewing platform is optimized, and thefinal optimized parameters are verified.
